UPDATE ON MRS. BOUCHARD – NO REAL NEWS – Is this GOOD? I don’t think so!

Very soon I am going to post a video message about what I am hearing on Mrs. Bouchards loan modification.   I want everyone to know I am looking for a” winning situation”.  I feel there has to be a positive resolve for our community in what seems to be a problem with a common sense resolution.

If the community  has to start raising money we will do what we can to help.  I have had many requests to hear from Mrs. Bouchard and I can not do that yet, but with the help of American Banker I will give you a link to their Video Interview.   Just click on the link below.   The woman in the picture is Kate Berry the reporter that has been following this story for months.

  1. No one should have to go thru this kind of anxiety and worry about losing their home, thru no fault of their own!

Disgraceful!! First City, with their millions of $ and innumerable assets …. would rather foreclose on her!! And does anyone still doubt that the best
thing to do, before you may possibly ‘become’ a similar situation, is move your money!! Yes, credit cards and mortgages too! I’d rather spend a couple of hundred dollars to transfer my mortgage to a credit union than to stay with a bloodsucking vampire monster like this!!! Shame on you – how appalling!

  2. Has her daughter tried contacting https://www.nacalynx.com/nacaWeb/index_main.aspx? These guys are good & have been fighting the mortgage punks for yrs. before the rest of the world realized what they were doing. Maybe they could help them.

  4. Just a note – I randomly came across your blog through another friend. I’ve seen some cases where NACA makes promises they can’t follow through on, and I believe there’s a charge to join. They provide the same assistance as other free non-profit agencies and elected officials’ offices. Also, in some cases they just forward the case on to Congressional offices. Just a forewarning.

    • There’s not a charge to join. There never has been. So I’m not sure if you’re referring to the same group. There might be a small charge for their classes on how to build your credit to acquire a mortgage (which is usually on a sliding scale or free). But no charge for assistance if you already have a mortgage. The only reason they couldn’t help me directly 10 yrs. ago was because they didn’t have a physical presence in my state. But they did give me a lot of info to help myself & others in the same situation in my region. As part of the settlement they got from Citi Financial 6 or 7 yrs. ago they now have a nationwide presence. In fact in less than 60 days after receiving the settlement they contacted me asking if I still needed legal help (which I didn’t). The main differences between them & the other resources as far as info alone goes is they already know what you need to know & tell you so you don’t need to waste a lot of time & effort or know what you need to ask. You tell them the situation, they ask a few questions, then tell you what you need to do and/or whom to contact and/or how they can help. In quite a few cases they get re-financing for you, especially if your interest rate is 10% or more.

  5. We’ve already tried my mothers congresswoman. Since I can’t say anything nice, I will refrain from commenting on how that went.

  7. i have signed your petition, i became disabled (bedridden) three years ago, after working for 35 plus years, and the bank is foreclosing on me. (M&T Bank in Buffalo, NY). the have refused to work with me, i will have to leave my home in the next few months, will have to give up my pets due to not alot of places around here take pets in apts, or if they do, it is a huge deposit. i so hope that this helps your Mom, i know what she is going thru, this has been a nightmare for me, and the stress has made the pain in my condition worse. God Bless you and your Mom.
